Okay, I finally got my car rust problem fixed. There was actually a hole here where the green spot is:

Rick, I really really like your parking light conversion! Have you had any trouble with the yearly inspection with those? Hmmmm... maybe I should do the same?

Offtopic: I'm thinking of buying a second car, Honda City (known as Honda Jazz in Europe). Slam it and throw in some big ass 13" or even 14" wheels. :D What do you think? Such a shame the City Turbos were never sold in Europe!

That's because we live in Finland and they use A LOT of salt on the icy roads, and salt does no good for cars here. I hate the salt sooo much...

I haven't taken the car into the safety inspection yet. I am planning to put in the original parking lights for the inspection tho - just in case.

I still have the original parking lights and turn signals, you know :D.

Hmm... I don't know about the Honda City (Jazz) :D. I bet it runs low on fuel haha. Shouldn't be hard finding a parking spot either .

foobari, I took my car to the safety inspection today WITH the clear custom made turn signals installed and WITH those custom parking lights. => PASSED! :wtf:

Haha I can't believe it. The only thing the inspector had to say about the car was the color of the parking light bulbs - they are orange (but still passed).

I also heard that the front left spring was broken, but so little it didn't affect the final result.

We'll see what happens next year...

New pieces of metal were welded there, on both sides, not only left.

I had a hole on the front and back of both wheelwells just like that but used a big glob of roofing tar and some roof patch cloth. I figure I wont fix it right until I take out the interior and fix it from both sides.

Yeah the salt really kills. I bought my Accord from Ahvenanmaa, where they luckily don't use salt, and the car isn't rusty at all! I was pretty amazed.

About 100000km less than in mine :lol. Maybe that's one the reasons it has no corrosion problems :D.
