View Full Version : Timing Lines or Timing Marks...

Does anyone know the degrees for a timing lines on the timing belt of a 87 Honda Accord LX? (example 15 degrees) And how do you adjust the lines? I think my question and the way i put it is confusing but please try... thanks alot u guys!

i dunno what the timing is supposed to bhe, but to adjust timing, you turn the distributor...

The timing marks are not on the timming belt... you'll have to look on the flywheel... I know one mark is TDC (0) I'm not sure of the degrees for the advance timing marks.

The cam gear also had a TDC marker... the flywheel and the cam gear must both be at TDC to be properly alligned.

You can advance/retard the cam gear... but I'm not sure how much each tooth is.
You should get an adjustable cam gear if you plan on tuning your engine by advancing or retarding the cam timing.
