prelude trans?

Ok if the 87 2.0 si trans will fit in the accord, will the accord trans go in the prelude? Im about to by a 87 si prelude for 200$, It needs and axle and some cleaning up, and then Im going to resell it, What I was thinking about doing though is swaping the trans before I sell it... what do you think...

Do you have to use the fly wheel and clutch from the prelude or can they be interchanged?

For the 2.0si, they can be interchanged. You just need to swap trannys.

For the 1.8L Prelude, you need to swap flywheels and get a clutch to fit it.

the bell housing off the dohcs are different to the sohcs...thats why i had to find a prelude 5 speed for my car and the other two accords i had were a different type of box
