Thats how im making mine, and there more then likely gonna be tig. I got everything at school plasma cutter, weldin els, mild steel plates, 2" alum. pipe, and my teacher said if i make a donation to some united way thing he host, then i can use what ever i need, I chose the T-25 turbo over the T/3/4 turbo, bigger airflow :-)

Isn't it really damn hard to TIG steel to aluminum? It should go one or the other, but not both. They don't melt at the same temperature, you will bow a hole in the aluminum before you get the steel hot enough to melt.

nonono u miss understude me , i mean alum, air flow pipes, the headers are gonna be steel , and the down pipe is gonna be steel

Well this sounds pretty cool. I wish I had a TIG welder, and plasma cutter those things kick ass. Is this class high school or college? My high school welding class sucked. NO money in the budget.

High School welding was so damn fun. We were a 'hick' school, so things like welding had a huge budget.

And to get it clear...you are going to TIG all of it? I would think that TIG on the aluminum would work, but then steel would be a whole bunch easier MIG. Ooh! You could go SMAW too!

My high school was kind of a kick school. Half or us drove lowered cars and trucks the other half was off road crazy. We didn't have money for anything cool and extreme just the basics.

Well im gonna tig the pipes, as far as the headers, i havent desided mig or SMAW........its college classes , i go for like a year doin cuttin , tig, mig , SMAW, advanced pipe.....then when i get out i start at a shop near my house for like 17 an hour to start gettin like 60 hours a week..... its pretty fun......but anyways...ill keep u guys updated on the project

Hey guys, I got a T3 turbo brand new for 150 plus shippin.......whoa whooo....anyways......I got all the parts for the header and downpipe layed out in class, I have to finish my class work then I can start on the headers.......ill have pics of the headers and the turbo as soon as i get my came back................
