a friend of mine and i tried to install them ourselves, but after breaking two craftsman sockets, we realized the bolts were seized and we gave up. the jackstands also embedded themselves in the asphalt (it was 90 degrees) and the part with the notches where you put the jack crumbled and disintegrated, so i think i'm probably going to sell this car and try to get an 89 lxi or sei, or (don't kill me for this) maybe a 3rd gen lude or if i can find a really cheap one a 94 'teg gs-r. haven't really decided yet

I had them made for me. The reason is less weight for the springs to keep the followers on the cam lobes.

If you rev your engine high enough eventually you'll get to a point where the valves don't have time to close again. If you take a little bit of weight off the valves and retainers it will help the spring close the valve fully at higher rpms.


Same principal as getting titanium retainers put in race engine just mine are aluminum.:D

well a weber is ordered and so is a ceramic header... should be here in 3 days or so. my full bodied coilovers arrived last night... so huge!!! i will be installing them this weekend. i have no air cleener and 2.5 inch exaust... straight pipe no cat or mufffler just resonator. (cherry bomb) i have lude seats and some neon inside. big stereo and lude aluminum wheels (13 inch) had 17's and sold them so next spring i get 18's

and the best one of all!!! LUDE TRANNY!!!!

power inverter, flush mounted into dash, which runs a home amp making 36 rmsx2 for the front speakers, it then takes a aux input for like a dvd player, laptop, cd player, what have you, and has rcas goin to my sub amp which is currently pushing a jl audio 10w3..

um I mounted two 12inch cold cathode tubes under the seats, lights up the whole floor front and back and 1/2 the dash

also redid my two front windows with manual regulators, cause the auto ones with motors broke, that took $8 and about 4 hours to do but was worth it for windows that should work for at least until the car is dead
