engine revs but doesnt go

Ok today I noticed when I was at a light and it turned green,I put it in first and tried to go but all it did was rev like I didn't release the clutch. The clutch was releasing correctly also. It is a new clutch any suggestions? :crying:

i would say so. probably your preassure plate is so worn out it won't even hold the preasure anymore.

But he replaced everything when he did it I know cause I helped my mechanic do it.

Try to adjust the clutch cable under the hood. It may be out of spec. My clutch started slipping after six months and that was the problem.

thanks abunch kroy I will try that tomorrow when there is sunlight. Would you suggest turning left or right?

I can not rember witch way is what. The adjustment is vertical. Mine was too high so I lowered it. It takes some trial and error to get the sweet spot perfectly where you want it. If that does not work I would agree with shepherd79 and say the pressure plate is screwed.
