Intake advice

What is the best kind of intake setup? I've seen small filters on the valve cover, what's up with that? I've also heard about messing with the vacuum hoses. Could someone fill me in?

ok,
1. coil air setup won't be easy because it will have to be custom made
2. small filters on the valve covers replace the rubber hose from the intake to the valve cover.
3. vacuum lines on the carbed accords can be removed in many diff ways. it all depends if you want to keep AC, cruise control or choke.
