I heard that our cars where pre-wired for options like power windows, mirrors, etc. I pulled out the little panels where these options would be in my dx but there where no plugs. any ideas?

The DX is only pre-wired for power mirrors. Did you check the How-To (http://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=109). It tells you what you have to do. There is some splicing of door harness wires involved.
