this has happened a few times. i drive about 20 city miles to work every day. i get on a strecth of highway for about 6-8miles. i go about 70-80(sometimes). i come to my exit and stop at the light. when i accelerate again, a medium size cloud of white smoke puffs out. just for a second. wth is going on?

Whatever it is, it can't be good. I wonder if your ecu light is blinking or not?

My 2nd gen Accord did that when you slammed on the brakes only to a larger degree. This was caused by a brake fluid leak thru the master cylinder rod back into the brake booster that would in turn go into the carb somehow. (a mechanic told me this.) Anways, I replaced the master cylinder and the problem went away. Strangest problem I ever had with any Honda.

Actually, Accordlx, the problem you had doesn't seem that strange. Once the brake fluid was in the booster, it was sucked by the vacuum into the carb/manifold and burned causing the smoke ;)
