I got my hands on a LS motor and 5speed trans from a 93 acura integra and computer, wiring harness etc... for 300.00 from my local u-pull it yard. I plan on dropping it in my 88Lx-i and doing the vtech head swap. question i have is, does anyone have or know where i can get a vtech head cheap?? being in wisconsin not alot of boneyards around here have the vtech's...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the bottom of the import list, and they have b18 and b16 VTEC heads. Gotta call em for a price though.

**FYI** It's more expensive to do an LS/VTEC or CR/VTEC swap, than a regular straight swap. #2, You can't use the ECU or Wire Harness. Well the wire harness yes, but it more expensive, because they have to run the vtec wires directly into the ECU ( More Labor ). Just swap in the B18a engine.

Well you already have the motor so getting a complete C1 engine would cost too much. It will be a little more work to add VTEC I would suggest go to an integra site or message board and ask them.

What is with you and the c1? Do you have one? A B16 can do job just as well.

Are you talking to me I hope not. The supply for B16 is getting smaller and the prices are getting more and more expensive. Can you bore and stroke a B16 to 2.4L I don't thing so, the B18 is a better platform. The C1 is VTEC and that is what everyone wants is VTEC :flipa:

Talk to Steve (88LXi68). He has an LS/VTEC in his 88. He should be able to answer a good bit of your questions.

B16 is vtec and it has best the R/S ratio of all B series. the c1 is 3rd on that list. FYI! U can't stroke a B18 to 2.4L.. U can go to 85mm, but you need to resleeve. More than 85mm, and u can kiss the c1 goodbye. Now I am convinced! You know nothing!

steve you took the words right outta my mouth :D i was gonna have him call steve.
anyways...food for thoguht--you got a cherry deal on that engine. so look at that when you think about pricing for everything else..save big on the engine...spend bigger on the head. also: that engine aint new. it probably wouldnt hurt to bring it to your local performance shop and have them clean it. not neccesarily a whole rebuild but a good bath and cleaning...maybe new seals....probably wouldnt be a bad idea.

Well the kit is made by Crower. I don't know why I said 2.4L that is too big, the kit increases it to 2.2L. My bad.
