hmmm.... ive had this thought for quite a while. i wonder why honda never made a turbo-equipped engine? and why is it that most or all (m not really sure) of their cars are FF.

i would always find myself scratching my chin with these thoughts in my head.

all except the s2000 and NSX are FF.

honda makes a 1.6l turbo charged jetski......i'm guessing that up until recently honda has been more about economy then high peformance.

there are a few hodas that arent ff. like the old civic wagons were 4wd, s2k is fr, nsx is rr. but i think that most are ff cuz of the market. most people like ff cuz of traction and shit in the winter.

Honda has made a stock turbocharger on one of its engines. Lemme do a quick search.
BAM!
1235cc and 165 horsepower oh yea baby!

There was also the Honda S500, S600 and the S800. They were all front engine rear drive convertibles. They were made in the 60s and 70s. Think of them as a predicesor to the S2000.

It wasn't available in the US if I'm not mistaken, but back in the day Honda made the Honda City Turbo, which was a tiny ass little car (like a Festiva, lol).

I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard on more than one occasion, that Mr. Honda believed that turbocharging an engine was just an excuse for poor engineering. Makes sense I guess....

oh yes sirree.

how can i forget about the city. that's another favorite project car back there in asia by tuners and the like. but that's really dope if he really had that perspective abt turbine kit on an engine. :werd:

They apparently made two turbo bikes.
The 1982 CX 500 Tc Turbo.

And the 1983 CX 650 Td

Pushrods??????? WTF???? They had overhead camshafts in bikes back in the 70s. Bleh.
