Me and my freinds tried putting in a cd player today. But we couldnt get the cassette player out. Its stock. We tried prying it out with a screw driver and then we took off the face of the heat/air thing and still didnt work. Now my dash has a bunch of scratches so this really bites for me. Can anyone tell me how to get the cassette player out and what kinds of brackets will i need and the spacer? Its a Panasonic DPX33 40watts x 4. Please help. Im a girl in distress lol.. thanks alot!

To remove the stock deck you need to pull out the ashtray. Then remove the ashtray bracket.
The last thing you should ever do is pry it out. That usually means tat there is something holding it in. I have managed to never scratch anything while installing a deck. Next time use some patience and it should come out a little easier.
You can download the Honda Factory Service manual from www.pauldesign.ru
That should help a little.

Where are you located at? Maybe some members who happen to live nearby you might be able to come by and help. Most of the guys here are single too. :D

But yeah, do what jigga said. Usually for stock decks there are like 2 or 3 screws holding it on the back (possibly sides) of the deck.

undo the screws at the back....remove the ashtray out, and push it out from the back :)

lol those fools that splacked my radio got the fuqer out in like 10 sec using the pry method

but for the Honda radio it has some screws on the bottom I think, take off the ashtray and the metal bracket it clips to, then you can see the screws to take out and push the radio out.

anyone ever pulled a Nissan radio? What a :burn:

Oh god, you had to remind me of that dreaded 90 300ZX. It took over two hours to remove the stock deck.

My cousin's Maxima was a bitch too. I don't know how long it took us, but it did take a long while.
