No need for a permit. Some performance and autoparts stores have in house filling stations for N2O and others send them out. You'll just have to call around to find a filling station.

I'm your N2O guy. anymore questions, ask away.

i bet there is one closer then that. a lot of places have it they just dont advirtize it. i'll check to see if there are any closer then vancouver. There are a couple in portland and one here in salem. i'm sure there's one in the southern oregon area.

NX...would there be any trouble in having your tank filled at a medical supply or do you have to have a permit for that?

you have to have a permit to get medical n2o for obvious reasons.......it works better then automotive though because it doesnt have sulfur in it like most automotive versions. some places have a lower sulfur content then other places, but its still not as good as medical grade.

I was just wondering b/c someone I know owns a home health supply company. He get's his O2 bottles filled. I wonder if his permit would cover N2O. Don't welding supplies sell N2O for welding.

if he has a n2o filling station, he might be able to fill your bottle, but that might compremise his licenses if somebody were to find out. I dont think welding supplies carry n2o. the oxygen/nitrogen content would be too volitile for welding i'd imagine. they sell nitrogen, but not n2o.

There might be a place in Medford but the next biggest city is Eugene/ Salem. I just got my 11mm Crane spark wires and these things are huge!

i talked to a buddy who used to live in roseburg and he doesnt know of a place down there, but that doesnt mean there isnt one. I'd call around to some performance shops or auto supply stores and see if they know of any.
