I read the how to, but It would seem to me that if you were to find the wires that connect to the contacts of the "start" posistion on the tumbler then just replace that with a button. Which would mean that pushing that button would be like turning the key to the "start" posistion.

i just dont see the point in getting a relay if the car already has one that is. Any help for clearing my confusion up?

you dont need a relay just wire it up.
Ive had a push button start for almost 2 years with no probs.

another thing you can only wire it up to the starter wire so you still need the key for ignition and accesserys and your steering colum lock or you can do what I did and put them on toggle switchs and pulled the stearing lock out hid the switchs and added a fuel pump switch(well hidden)so if any one found the ignition switchs the can start my car for all of 5seconds.

Just run 12 volts to the black/white wire thru a switch.

Yeah. Mine also works fine. Just make sure that the wires are nice and tight or you can have a hard time starting your car
