gahh..stupid window

well..last night im driving home and i go to put my window up and it gets up most of the way then starts making a noise like a friggin machine gun..it scared the hell outta me and my girlfriend..so i figured the window was off the track a bit or something...and to cut the big story...now i can hear the motor turning but the window doesnt move..im guessing its off the track, but what do you guys think?

either off track or more likely your motor is shot. Mine did it in the sedan when I first got it. It would go so far down then just stop and click, then wehen you pushed on it as you pushed the switch to bring it up it would stop slicking and go up all the way then click when it hit the full up stopping point. I replaced the motor and reg at the same time and works fine. Since you have to take it all apart anyways take the motor and reg out, clean and lube everything and try to turn the motor gear, mine would turn so far then start clicking
