Yo, im pondering swapping a B16 in my 2nd gen lude. Right now it's got the ol a20a3 in it, got me into the mid 15's with 200k on the odometer,a pace shitter header, hollow cat, DIY cat back, DIY CAI, a little timing advance and tires that stick, but now it's time to move on. Does anyone know of any companies that make a mount set for swaping a b16 into a 2nd gen lude or 3rd gen accord lxi. Same motor. I've seen it done before , but dont know if they made their mounts or not.

go to the Engine sawp section and read. we have tons of info of what you can swap.

Place Racing (PRI) makes a swap kit. It alone costs about a grand for the axles, mounts, and harness.

If you are going to do it you might as well go with a B18a/b, b18c1, or a b20 (the one from the cr-v) I think you would be happier with one of those engines.

Can you sawp the b20 out of the CR-V. That would be a good engine for lighting up your tires. Plenty of torque.:) You would want the B20z not the B20b form the CR-V.

Yea the 99, 00 and 01 crv is the motor to get, they have higher compression than the earlier ones. And it doesnt have a whole lot of torque, I drive a V8 regularly. But the B20Z does have the most torque of any B series, including the Type R.

Hands down tha most lbs/tq, but still my first question can you swap it. I was thinking that only B20a5 out of the accord could be swapped. It has to do with the tilt of the engine and the intake hitting the firewall.

Place racing makes a swap kit for those engines into our cars. I douby you can use the stock CRV intake manifold, its kinda big. Fortunetly most parts from the later B engines (Integra/Civic Si, Del Sol/CRV) are interchangable. If you do some searching a few guys here have used the PRI kit.

the b20z from the CRV is the same block setup as the B16,17,18 just different size. Slap a VTEC head on it and you're ready to roll!

BUT WHY OH WHY STICK VCRAP in our car? BOOST is the answer.

Hell yea, VTEC is overrated. Well said man.

I was thinking the sme thing...the VTEC is only there to help...add boost and you have a neat little thing called synergy.
