Okay -I kinda feel like crying ( i know i know over a stupid car but I love my 3gee) Well I have just spent so much in repairs. Five new OEM engine mounts, four new tires, honda alignment, new brakes and some minor engine maintanence. It was running so good almost felt like a brand new car. It was so nice to drive after all this was done.

Well it snowed yesterday and I drove in the worst part but today the backroads were still very slick. Anyways I was make a left turn going about 5mph hour slowing down I hit some ice and kept sliding. I hit a straight up and down curb and my front passenger tire hit and I heard a loud crack.

Now

I have to almost have the steering wheel at 90 degree from center to go straight. Each time I over a rough part on the road it makes a terrible sound like I have a really blown strut or worse.
It just wanders all over the place. I noticed my steering column was higher but the lock was not loose. So I lowerd it and locked it.

I havent jacked up the car because its too dark to see anything but a few of the spokes are scraped at the top.

Am I looking at some major work? I just feel like crap because I could of avoided this.

Well, since I am no mechanic I would of liked a idea of what I should be looking at. I will be looking a the car today to see if I notice anything.

Look and see if any of these things are bent, cracked or broken.
Rim
Control arms
spindle
tir rod
sway bar
ball joints
spring
damper fork
bushings

What the hell is with all you guys busting engine mounts? When I put in my motor I used oem mounts and they have held up perfectly fine for over two years. And its not like I drive like a grandma or anything.:werd:

Well I didnt bust them on purspose.
I bought the car about 2years ago from the original owner and at the time noticed the front motor mount rubber was cracked.
Didnt think much of it at the time. Until a little while later and when the weather got colder it started to shake at idle.
So after reading some info on here and feedback from others-It was most likely the engine mounts. (being they are the original 14 year old mounts) I decided to replace them and sure enough the front one came out in two and the others had cracked rubber. They were in need of replacement. Just like any other original part.

Thanks
I took a look and didnt notice anything bent, loose or cracked. Guess its time to go get screwed.......
