well this weekend I set off to repair my busted up dash after someone broke into it a weekend or so ago. But I got to work at it and of course I got side tracked........waaay side tracked. I ended up tearing out everything. I painted all the plastic black. tore off the vinyl ceiling and put black carpet like on my doors, took all all the seat skins and dyed them black, took out the console and the ps2 and the rear deck lid and carpeted that black. I also ripped out all the plastic in the truck lining and threw it away and then truck bed lined the metal. while i was at it I also rewired a couple of things and moved the rear LCD from the console to the head rest. here are some of the pictures. I got too carried away to remember to take pictures of everything

those pictures dont even cover half of what I did. unfortunately the seats did not come out as good as I was hoping they would. the back one actually turn out nice because its not as worn and there was still fabric to be died. the front ones didnt come out so hott. but while i was taking them apart I noticed there is eatra padding in the buckets. so I took it out and what a difference it made. the seats are still comfortable and now they actually have some bucket feel to them. i was really impressed with that part. hahaha a whole 2 oz of weight reduction improved seating and OH YEAH its free! gotta love that. the car doesnt take very good pictures now becuase its too dark inside. you just gotta see it for yourself!

yeah just be in any state that doesnt have CARB laws like california. I just got tickets out the ass the other week. and that pipe was one of them. stupid ass cops. but its an 89 civic intake and pipe. thats all you need besides a dremel and a couple hose plugs.

yeah I dont really have any rattles in my car. I despies rattles with the upmost of passion. the truck bed lining helps a lot too. when I get it rhino lined it will kill all rattles back there. and as soon as I finish my tail light work.

how hard was it for the lcd in the headrest? can you email or post a how-to on here on how exactly you did it, i know you gotta cut out the hole for it, but how did you mount it in there without it looking bad?

email me the how-to: [email protected]

well its not really hard. take the skin off and putting it back on is the hardest part. take the skin off first. get an idea of where you want the screen centered. cut through the foam until you get to the metal plate in the head rest. cut the whole just a tiny bit small for the mounting bracket for the lcd. drill holes through the bracket and metal plate. put the skin back on screw in the shroud, mount the lcd, and voila, there you have one headrest screen for viewing pleasure. Im sure I will do another one soon, so I will be sure to take more detailed pictures next time.
