this may help if you're considering a swap i know i'm either gonna doi this or a radical 2.0 or 2.4 swap. i've heard a lot from naysayers about that but never about the a20a3. this is a fuel injected engine they also have a carb engine listed probably for around the same price but if you're gonna swap efi is the way to go in my book...

600 for an a20 is a HUGE ripoff. dont pay more then 400 TOPS for one, in any condition (unless its been built to the hilt or something).

OK, ummm...A20A3 is only a EFI change, nothing was changed in the engine itself. You have an 88, so you have the EFI already. What exactly are you asking by posting this.

Now if you are looking for a B20, that is different. What you need to do is make them understand there was a B20 that went in the JDM Accord 2.0si, and Vigors and Prelude's from 1985 to 1988 of the JDM model year. Then see what they say.

Prelude b20's are different then the JDM accord b20's. 99% of the JDM importers will tell you

1) there is no such thing as a DOHC JDM accord motor (wrong)
2) the accord b20 is the same as the prelude motor (wrong)
3) they know what you're talking about, but never get em due to lack of supply/demand (most likely if they know what you're talking about)
4) the a18 is as good or better replacement for a20  (they'll tell you this because their a18's are collecting dust and they want to get rid of them)

its VERY hard to find an importer who knows what you're talking about and can correctly identify the JDM accord b20.

That's right. the A18 have slightly less hp. but they DON'T BOLT IN.

I found this out as I was buying a motor from Japan when I had the accord.

no mistake, its just good to shop around and see what you can get. I found a motor for like 400 in my area, and i called around to a couple other places and found a better one for like 275. dont think that a cheap price is the lowest.
