Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator

Hello fellas. Im in a little bit of a hurry now and im in need of it real fast. i wanna know if these would be adaptable.

I got a Cosmo Racing adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It works nice and it comes with a guage already installed.

what kinda gauges are those? Can i use a generic or universal one from summit or something? I also need a AF gauge right?

do we need a FPR made for our cars or can i buy say a, B&M one for a crx and bolt it on?

i basically want to know what ones are interchangeable because i don't want to have to buy one off the net.. but what ones will work with our motors so i can go about buying one

The Cosmo one will work. As will the Vortech. You'll need a seperate gauge for the Vortech though. If you've got a fuel pressure gauge installed already, them that's not much of an issue.

The B&M fuel pressure gauge will bolt on directly with no modifications. Just look for the one that fits an NSX.

The rest of the maze there are the NPT fittings, isolator and high pressure tubing for the Autometer gauge on my dash.

If you run internal, don't forget the isolator!

you really dont need to up fuel pressure unless you have internals or NO2!!! Stock computers run enough for minor bolt ons!!

yeah but see i am not scared if my gas milage goes down a bit, i have heard that uppping the fuel pressure will produce decent gains overall. the nsx one will bolt on? i don;t plan on running the guage up at my dash, so if i bought the kit for the nsx FPR i should be good to go

sorry guys, i know nothing about hp, and engine development.. i am learning thanks to you, suspension and handling are really my thing, i am just looking for some cheaper upgrades to produce more hp in my lude for autocross, but i am not looking to run 14's in the 1/4 by no means

Not the NSX regulator, just the gauge. They use the same bolt size for the fuel fitting so they're interchangable.

For the regulators, the Cosmo or the Vortech will work. The only thing I don't like about the Cosmo is that is has that god-awful long hose running from the rail to the regulator. The Vortech uses the stock regulator bottom, so it sits right where it's supposed to. Just my personal opinion though.

You might pull a tiny bit of extra power out of your car by upping the pressure a tad to compensate for bolt-ons. Don't go insane with it or you'll lose power and waste fuel.

okay i got the B&M regulator and pressure gauge. I have a CAI and full exhaust. So what psi should i set it to? 40psi? cause they said u gotta up the pressure for mods and also how on gods name do u fit the regulator on the stock bottom?

That's easy. Hacksaw the top off. Leave about an eigth inch of a lip. The instructions should detail the rest. If ya didn't get instructions, I'll give ya a step by step walkthrough.

I have mine set to about 42PSI. Car seems very happy with it.

well i finally got time to install it last night. I set up the pressure at 40psi to be on the safter side even tho its only 2 psi more than what the stock is. i might boost it up a lil bit once i get better fuel injectors and maybe a rail i dont know.

Believe it or not, the setting before with just the high volume pump, i was putting out a lil over 55psi. NO wonder my car was running like shit.

also i found out that my number 1 cylinder spark plug was loose as hell. Now my car runs much smoother and the gas milage and respnose seem to have improved. My next change is gonna be the spark plugs and, cap and rotor and hopefully get an ignition coil.

Hey guys I know you're all FI, but I thought I read somewhere that Carbed guys could have a FPR. I actually bought a Cosmo FPR off ebay for my 91 Prelude Si and well I was wondering if I could use that on my 89 Accord LX. It has the gauge and everything. I'd search but the search thing on the site isn't working and I was hoping one of you knew about this.

I doubt you need one cause of the return line is much straighter than out EFI system. So i dont think u would need it let alone i have never seen anyone have it. So i guess its not purposeful to have one.
