Well the plans to put it in the accord went through once I bought my acura, now it's going in the teggy. Some of you might remember that I have another teg, this one

So I took the dash out of it to play around until I bring my new teg home. Here's a few pics of how things are going to go

PS2 fits in there nice and snug with some very minor cutting of the back of the dash

Here's how my LCD screen should look (but a little more professional) once I get it done

I'll fiberglass around the PS2 so it won't look all ghetto and I should be able to still have the glove box door on there. :)

u'll probably need to get a switch relocater for the power switch on the ps2. The switch is in the back, but u can pick up the relocater at probably any gaming store. Its looking good though. So was that teg already wrecked when u got it, or did u do that?

I bought it just like that, bought it for $375 and sold parts off of it for over $1,800. :D
I'll have a power inverter to supply power to the PS2, so I'll just always leave the PS2 on and then use the inverter to turn it on and off. :)

And I looked over your thread Justin, not really sure what to think, I'll look through it again though......

I was gonna try the place station in the spot right above the glove box on my car, but after going through the junk yard a couple times, I realize it wouldnt work. so I think I am going to fiberglass it to the armrest in the back seat. So I am on this search, and you will benefit from it too, so maybe you can help me out. i was reading this maxpower magazine a while back and they always have these little tid bits on putting 'ice' in your car, and one of these was a 12v mother board to replace the 110v for the PS2. once you replaced the board, all you had to do was wire a power and ground instead of running an invertor. the place was theworx.com but its a fucking uk company and I cant seem to get a hold of them to track down this peice. perhaps someone might know how to change the power supply from 110 to 12?

* ok i lied i wasnt really READING, but you catch my drift

Yeah, I've heard of that and was considering doing that. The only reason why I didn't look into it further is because I already have a power inverter that I use for my laptop, so I figured I'd just use that for now. I'll look into that more for you though, maybe I'll change my mind and get one too.
My plans changed though. I was talking to a friend of mine that has a teg as well and he's been trying to find a spot for his PS2 as well. I showed him my idea and he said that I would have to take out the passenger side defroster/vent which wouldn't be too cool. So scrap this idea, looking for something new now lol.
I did some searching through sounddomain.com and found these

that's kinda cool, but not good for a daily driver
then there's under the dash....

yeah I checked the site. it doesnt do shit. those install look nice and all, but the whole under the dash install doesnt do it for me. that diamond plate one is almost cool, except its not smart cause that heats up real quick and not good for the ps2. if I could find that power board, I would probably mold it to the ceiling of something crazy like that.

yeah, I think under the dash looks like crap. I dunno where to put mine man. I want it where people can see it and have it good for show and shit, but everywhere isn't working out.

I wonder if the ps2 would get launched into the passenger's face in a crash....

no, it will be fiberglass in, and it would fly forward in an accident anyways.

haha, no i meant on this one where the airbag mechanism would propell it at an amazing speed into your buddy's nose.

You have a headunit that can handle that optical output on the PS2? That would be nice as hell :)

Good work :D

There's no airbag in there. It was removed during the installation of the PS2. I don't really like it in that spot. It looks like it was just stuck in there.

Lol, that's even worse, your passenger would know that you traded their safety for a PS2.
