Here are some pictures of 300'700lxi's (Delano's) car. its an 88 LXi. It was a pampered car, you can tell. the interiors looks like it was never touched in the whole 15 years its been around. it was definately garaged most of its life. this weekend, a Quickshifter, 11mm wires, msd blaster coil, chamber kit, and cam with a grind, were installed.

those are the stock LXi rims, painted black. its about a 2 and 1/2 inch drop. Before all these mods, i believe he ran a high 16 at the drags. we have to wait for summer again for the track to open up. it should be interesting how much improvement once everything is broken in.

he also has a cam shaft grind on his. i have the specs somewhere........er maybe not. He has'em though.

holy shit how did A20A1 get his car over here??? I will have you know i did this conversion never knowing he had done it already. but then i saw he painted his black and i liked it. i also replaced the whole center peice because it was cracked

These are the LED lights 87Hybrid Showed me... I might use them instead.

I have the LED tail lights. they are the 44 bulb one i believe. they are bright as hell which is why i got pulled over the other night. but its not illegal. that cop is just a dumb ass. the reflectors on the side are there incase any cop tries to say something, but they are actually the housing for one of the strobes in the 4 piece emergency vehicle kit. got one on each side and one in each of the orange side markers in the front.

I used Rustolium brand paint from Wal Mart. I need to repaint them cause I got a flat tire so the lip on one of the rims got kinda scratched. Other than that, the paint has held up just fine.

I won't be able to take any pics of the car until I come back in a couple of weeks, but Mario might have some more. Hopefully I will have a chance to repaint the the wheels and tint the back windows a little darker when I come home for Winter break. Thanks guys for the compliments on my car.

Well if you redo your windows we should do mine too. cause I want to make mine darker all the way around. I dont have any more pictures of the car, but I could probably get some more. and blazin i would actually use the rustoleum primer, but then use the 500 degree engine paint because it sticks and it takes dramatic temperature changes.

Mario that def loosk great!. I once painted my DX's wheels black. I got LX-i wheels at a junk yard and they chipped after 3 weks or so and they required constant attention.

Next time I paint wheels I'll ge them power coated

thanks dude, i think i am gonna have to rattle can the car all black until i can buy real paint. cops keep pulling me over cause its primered. old bull shit rule, the primered car has the warrant. i hate cops. powder coating isnt any diffent than painting really. you could use a single stage paint to cover them. single stage has clear and hardener mixed in the basecoat. powder coat is pretty much the same just applied differently.

I think that the cops just have a love affair with the 3g, what with the cops that were peeking in my windows the other night when I left my car parked at a gas station. It's just so damned sexy that the pigs gotta be lifting up her skirt and peeking at the goodies underneath. Last time I gave a pig a look under my hood, I was fortunate enough to walk away with a $300 ticket. I love CARB. :rolleyes:
