I keep mine up at all times. Maybe that's because I've got a headlight motor that sticks :D

up only when the lights are on. i drove for a few months after my wreck with them up and it looked SOO much better when they were down most of the time.

Preach on, Silver86. I keep mine up all winter. Too bad, cuz they look way better down.

It doesn't get cold enough for mine to freeze every night. I do leave them up when it's gonna snow and shit. However, they're down unless absolutely neccessary. The car's lines doesn't flow as well with them sticking up there in the front. It does give it a whole different look though and you know how it is when you change something.

I got in a fender bender and the sheetmetal that the motors attached to was crumpled, along with the passenger side light cover.

When i fixed it, I left the motor alone because there was no way it would go up and down (even with a brand new motor) because everything was so out of whack. I just zip-tied the arm on the new headlight cover to a hole in the battery tray. That kept it tight and it had enough leverage to stay completely up. So the passenger light isn't even mechanically connected to it's motor. Plus, there was a short somewhere in the wiring for the motor and it was draining my battery. So I pulled the fuse. Everything is functional now and after the electrical problems I really have no motivation to have pop-up lights again.

Here's the finished pic, I linked it because I never resized it.

That reminds me, I should put mine up now before they get frozen shut during this stupid storm that's coming tonight.

Had to take the fuse for one motor out because it was short circuiting and killing th battery, disconnected the little arm too. they stay up unless I feel liek pushing it down during the day but its a pain to manually have to get out and put it back up.

Damn joe atleast it looks ok now that must of sucked ass, do u have pics of the engine bay man i had my light like that too because the car was hit hard from the drivers side kinda like yours and where the headlight went it was waked out of place but now its fixed we went to the junkyard and we cut a whole chunk of a car and welded it together it looks better now and my lights flip :D anywayz back on the real topic

Fendor bender? I would call it more than that.

And yeah, damn fine job on the repairs there. *Thumbs up*

I would have to go definately down. No reason to have them up. I take it as a precationary measure really. But it's just me. I mean, that's just 2 more areas of the car I have to clean. And I prefer they stay clean during the day, and that's why I keep them down. Who knows too, when ur driving on the freeway, and a pebble hits one of them or something? Sure sure, it's only like 10 bucks to fix, but you could have prevented that in the first place. But mostly I keep them down to prevent those little damn bugs from splattering on them.

i prefer my headlights down, I dont think a sleepy eye mod would look good on a 3g accord, I think that would only look cool on like a Probe, Lude or a miata something along the lines of that.

Down except when the lights are on. In the winter time locked in the upright position. All I need at 6:00 AM is to have to unstick a frozen headlight before I leave for work.

I made my popups dance once it was cool, I had a low charge bat and I had one up and one down when I hooked up the bat and the popups just danced like the car was pozesed or somthing cool like that. but, up for me. The car looks bug eyed and mean lol. If I still had the moldings around my headlights on my car Id probly have them down but I don't so UP.

down except at night with the lights on. what else are pop-ups for if not to have them pop-up when you turn your lights on?

Down on a 3g, my celica looks too pointy in the front when they are down so I either have them sleepy eyed or up at all times

I prefer mine down.Since I have my eyelids painted black to match my clear and black sidemarkers. But now that I have my JDM H4 Euro Clear conversion headlights maybe I'll ride with them up sometimes.
