Car Wont Start!!!!

ok i changed my trans and the car ran. then the battery died and i jumped it with a 55amp jump starter and the car went crazy the dash was clicking and all of the warning lights came on. now it wont start. my coil was bad so i changed it, along with my cap and rotor, and spark plugs. ive checked all fuses im geting a spark and gas but it just wont start. it turns over and it tries everyonce and a while but it just wont start. i know my ecu is good because i disconected my temperature sensor plug and it threw the code for it. theres a ignition control module on my distributer, would it still spark if this was bad?? if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it!!

Check all the grounds. Even the one on the valve cover. Make sure that they are all tight and clean.

one on the valve cover?? i have a 86 bt in my 88 lxi so would it have that same ground?? if anyone can give me a list of grounds i would appreciate it because this peice of shit haynes manual from 84 dosent say shit

There is a ground wire from the battery to the trans... there is a ground to the thermostat housing from one of the wire harnesses and there is a ground from the valve cover to the upper radiator support brace.

also if my icm (ignition control module) is bad will i still get spark??

the cause of your crazy dash light problem is the valve cover ground. i forgot that once and i thought my car was posessed! Put the ground back on and it was fine again.

you will still get spark but it wont fire up, it will just crank over

yeah check all your grounds, like A20A1 said.
