What would be the best low priced ($50-$100) alarm off of ebay might I consider putting in my car. I don't want remote start or keyless entry. Just an alarm. Any help would be appreciated.

Exactly how hard are they to install yourself?

I did mine but it was a bitch, I don't think it was worth the hassel of the self install

yeah, it is a pain, but it saves you some good money. I don't have the manual for it, but I did download it off the internet and I can email it to you if you do buy it.

kicker1_solo, how long are you going to have that alarm up for grabs? I might have money in a couple of weeks so..........

Its not bad if you have the wiring diagram preferable from and installers guide book. Thats where i got mine from and it tells you where everything is. I preffer to do my own only because i dont want someone hacking my car up and i didnt want the main unit under my dash so it could be easily disabled. But it can be time consuming and for $35 your better off letting them do it.

Hard enough not to even think about doing it yourself unless you're confident you know what you're dealing with installing the alarm on your own.

I have an Alpine 8040... top of the line model (used in BMW out of the factory) and let me tell you it is a b*itch to install. Save it for the pros.
