Alright guys since the sites been having an error I wasn't able to search, but I did look through 8 different pages to find an answer to my question and I found nothing so I thought I would just ask you guys.

Sprint Springs and Suspension Tech. for like $230 for everything. (2.25" drop)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33582&item=2447709166

Or I could get Sprints and Tokico's for like $340. (2.25" drop)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1469&item=2960297206

My suspension is in need of new struts and shocks and I figured I would lower it at the same time. I'm kinda pressed for money right now but I wanna know what you guys think about these two options.

-Mike

(I know I know.... I should get konis with GC's but that's dreaming a bit for me right now with trying to save for a JDM motor for my lude.)

I've been running sprint springs and tokico shocks for almost 5 years now. For all this time, I've liked them alot. The rear is fine. Sometimes the front, can be a bit harsh if you don't watch where you're going. Nice look. The rear, I can't fit the toe part of my shoe b/n the tire and fender well. The front, I can fit.

I don't have a camber kit. I don't see a problem with any camber wear. I rotate my tires pretty much every 3-5K miles though.

If you have front mudflaps, prepare for them to be scrubbing almost every speed bump. Need to watch out going fast up high driveways at wrong angles. It will eat the plastic underbody away.

I don't regret going this setup any bit. About to swap into some Koni Reds hopefully by the end of this month, just b/c they were a bargain i got it at.

i think 2.25" drop is too much in my opinion. i had intrax springs with stock honda struts and they holded up very good. No leaks no blown struts.
oh yeah i was lowered 1.6" front and 1.7" back. i was scraping on every speed bump.

Well then that's what I'm going to go with then. I really need suspension. Do you suggest doing the upper and lower ball joints while I got all the crap off? Does anyone have any sway bar hardware that I can have or buy for cheap? I lost the bag of hardware I had for mine.

Thanks for your input.

if you go with intrax springs they are 247 front and 97-257 rear.
compare to stock springs: 211 front and 117 back.

try going to the junkyard. the junkyard here charges about $18 a swaybar with hardware i think, pick-n-pull. not that bad. i went to a junkyard by my college, and they charged me like $10 for the sway bar mounts and some misc. nuts/bolts.

say whattt?
I doubt that had you scrapin'

Man you need at least 2.25 inches all the way around. For it to look tight.
I bought 2.5" lowering spring from dropzone and took them back cuz they werent low enough. If you're gonna spend bread to look and perform lower, do it big. SLAM that bitch.

You have to do at least 2.25 to see it look really nice like what jigga225 mentioned. Your going to regret it if you get those one inchers on.

My setup is with the ST springs and ST bars.

Oh god those clears look tight! I forgot how badass those were. I'm gonna save up for the Tokico's and Sprints.

I don tknow where everyone was when Jim was talkin about Progress Group Progressive springs. ANywho. THey are only 170 bux, i got em 170 shipped. they are really stiff and can be used with Konis. THey are a perfect mate for it or for revalved blistiens. So yeah, depending no how soft the strut is, opt for this spring. Its a 2" drop front and back. And like alex said, hope u dont go over bumps fast, but take corners like a mad man ;)

Smufguy I'm only getting these b/c they won't break the bank..... If I got the best of the best then it would easily cost $1000 for the lowering parts.

You should be able to find Sprints cheaper than 230. I found a website a month ago that had them for 110. I'll see if I can find it and post the link.

Yea my next set up will be a set of TEIN pro dampners. I would drop is lower then 2" esp if you have rims. If you have the stockies and plan on keeping them 1.5" would be good.

i know what you mean buddy. But i had no choice. WIth three of my shocks leaking, i had to get it. So over the summer i waited 2 months and still drove with broken shocks but got the konis and progress (425+170) so that i dont have to do it all over again. I went more a lil farther than i should have, but i just wanted to get the things done right.

A good suspension set up does not have to cost a fortune, but i understand what you mean and i guess everyone has their taste of lowering and the ride firmness and handling when it comes to this ;)

my advice:

dont get those Spring Tech shits on ebay. they are crap. the coilovers don't fit right with the shocks they come with. and the shocks are nothing more than OEM mcpherson struts replaced with a Spring Tech sticker on it. they will blow on you within a month.

Not sure if you're still interested but here's the link to Sprint Springs for cheap. I couldn't find the website with them for $110 but on this one they're $130. Much better than direct or from Nopi.

Iceman I wasn't going to get Spring Tech. coilovers. It wasn't even mentioned in the thread. And Tokico's aren't crap they just aren't the best out there but they are still better than stock so I'm happy. And I need a new suspension setup b/c its getting really annoying.

i say if you can't get a hold of koni's, get H&R springs with tokicos and you will ride perfect. H&R's are soft and tokicos are stiffer and better built than stock. from my experience, Sprints are too soft, but lower the car 2.25" so you will have bottoming out issues if you run softer shocks.
