Clicking like a pinging noise? Is it coming from the drivers side of the car? Could be yer timing is off and yer hearing the engine pinging.

is it with the engine hot or cold? if it's when cold it could just be a lifter not getting any oil. happens alot on cold winter days like this. possibly a chip in one of your gears, or flywheel. umm just throwing out ideas.

Probably from the engine moving around b/c of old engine/tranny mounts.

I changed all of the motor mounts. I just rebuilt the engine and it makes the same exact noise. I timed it. Its about at 16 degrees. I don't think are motors have lifters. Maybe you meant the rocker arm?

Check your valve clearances.
There is a article in the howto section.

I wouldn't worry, I know the sound you're talking about and it is normal I have talked to a few mechanics about this noise too. Just to be safe check you oil.
