88 Accord LX Carb upgrade

Can anyone help me with some ideas for my 1988 Accord LX Carb. I need ideas to make the carb richer and run better soo my car will be faster.

Go look in the carb tec foroum to find lots of free ways to make your carb faster including a secondary conversion and vacume line removal also check out the faq and how to. Most importantly try the search function when it is back up and running.

Good call, you beat me too it. You can also get a 88-91 Civic airbox and modify it to fit a cone style filter. You can be like me and get rid of the Cat and egr systems as well.

Buy a Weber 32/36 downdraft carb kit from www.carbsunlimited.com If you want to go fast you will need this for sure. I have one and a lot of other people do as well. Check out my site in the www button below.

buy that weber and buy a drill... u'd be surprised with what u can do with a drill..

I would suggest a Dremel rather than just a drill b/c I use mine on a regular basis when doing custom mods to the car. Ahh just get both.

http://www.3geez.com/editpost.php?s=&action=editpost&postid=324299yeah, and take off all those damn vacuums, i only have 3 left, my secondary on carb, the vacuums that run the vacuum advance on the VTEC (Vacuum Tuned Electric-spark Center) distibutor, and the brake booster, it adds a little power and makes things a lot cleaner; also take off that damn cruise control, because what fun is it to drive your car, but not be fully driving it?


oh, before i get flamed for being stupid, i was making up that VTEC thing, and i know that's not what VTEC stands for:D
