and if you can boost your 3g to be reliable, i might do something simular when i mod my 3g.

Well I got bigger injectors. But they keep craping out a 70psi fuel.So I put the old ones back in tell I get a missing link.We tuned it a bit more and got out a consistant 172-174whp and 154-158tq.I need to get a fmi.We tryed turning up the boost but it gets heat soaked and we would loose power. At 12psi we went down to 144whp. That was with the new 310cc injectors.Anyway I'm going to the track tomorrow.I hope this clutch does not slip. The new one is not in yet.

How much boost were you running when you made the 172-174hp?
What do you mean when you say the injectors were crapping out?

Elijah

the injectors are low inpedence. we are going to get a missing link to trip the map sensor. 8 pounds of boost

Wow, nice numbers for 8psi. What are you using right now to not show positive pressure, if you don't have a missing link? Remind me again about the specs on your tubo unit. What type, size, trim etc.?

when you get that missing link can you send me a pic of wheir you intalled it ive been doing alot of research on turboing and am considering turboing the b20a. and cant you just use check vavles from fish tanks to work intstead of the missing link?

I'm not sure about the fish tank thing.Does anybody have a link to it?

Nothing for not showing pressure. It has not seemed to bother it with the stock injectors. And the turbo is a t3 from a daytona. And to tell you the truth I dont know the trim. All I have for manigment is bigger pump, fmu, fpr, msd sci,msd coil and msd btm.My firewall is full. And the injectors that I will figure out how to make them work

Maybe you should try something like Greddy E-manage to manage your fuel? ... That might help with your fuel problems.

I dunno who...
Mazda speed, some name they give in front of factory turbocharged mazda cars... like Mazda speed miata... Since you haven't heard of it... then i assume it's probably some cheezy American sales name.

are the injectors peak hold or saturated? Youre supposed to run peak hold type injectors, saturated wont work in these cars. I bet the turbo is a 50 trim T3. Be careful at 12psi, your engine wont respond well to tuning mistakes

Are you absolutely sure about this?

Just to clarify; Peak & Hold = Low impedance => Supposed to have a faster response time. Saturated = High impedance => Slower, but cheap as hell to make, also draws less current.

Yes im sure, thats why we have a resistor box.

Hey, Elijah, haven't heard anything in awhile. Digging up an old thread here, but how about a progress update? Is everything running okay now, and have you had it on a dyno yet?

Elijah

Wow ya everything is fine. This motor is like a rock. But The car is getting painted. And I'm pulling the motor and doing a complete rebuild over winter. And putting in my tec 3.Getting another mani and turbo.I dont care what I have to do I will reatch 350whp for next summer. For body the moldings, door handles and gas tank cover are getting shaved. We are converting the head lights. The drivers rear taillight will slide straight out so you can pump the gas.We are custom molding the body kit.And if I have enough $ and time the interior will get done this winter to

Ahh, so nothing realy new to report, eh? :ugh:
Are you still gonna call this car a 3G?
Sounds like you are having a lot of fun with it, and I can't wait to see the final product. Did you ever find out how much you were puting out with this setup though? I'm still curious to know. Keep pushing the limits, Bud!

174whp And 161tq @ 8psi

Those are very impressive numbers already. You should be close to 200hp at the crank, which would be an 80hp (66%) increase over stock; brand new stock, that is! How street drivable is that power?

1. What rpm does boost come on at, and does it pull to redline?
2. What does it drive like when off boost?
3. Any other small stuff (starting, idling, hesitation etc.)?
4. How is your gas mileage?

I'd like some detailed specs on the turbo you decided on too. Brand, size, trim etc. Feel like sharing some info?

Thanks, keep up the good work, and keep those pics/info. coming.
