ok... I'd really like to get headers for my car, but am worried about the smogability of headers... It's between pacesetter and dc sports, but I need to know if they are smog friendly... california sucks, I already had to re-install the factory intake to smog... it's not a major ordeal to swap that every two years, but I don't want to remove my header every two years.

any help is appreciated.

if you get DC sport headers they are smog certified. call DC sports and ask them for certificate sticker. when you install the headers, slap the sticker under the hood next to tune up sticker, this way cops or smog authorities won't get you.
so yeah, make sure you have that smog sticker.

I believe the Smog sticker is also commonly refered to as the CARB (California Air Research Board) sticker. Any aftermarket part with a CARB sticker has been tested and is certified to meet emissions standards.

my CARB EO is welded to the header.

Any header or intake will not affect CARB. Cali is just full of shit when they say it will not pass cause it will, all they care about there in california is trying to find away to make up money form the past mistakes and that is the only reason why the you get so much crap there for making mods.

can't find anyone still selling dc sports headers... guess I'll just go with the ceramic coated pacesetters...

unless any of you know where I can still find the dc sports :help: ...

there not currently on ebay anywhere.

I am not sure, but i thing the prelude dc header will fit. Maybe the 88 prelude.

DcSports needs to be called. Someone tried to say they headers were discontinued before. I got on the phone and confirmed they were not discontunued and that they actually were sitting in the company wherehouse. BUT, before I made that call, their online catalog listed them part number HHC5010, now it skips that number. Still, someone needs to call them and get the real scoop.
