My friend has a system that is about 3 years old. He has a kenwood 700 watt amp, 2 infiniti 12 subs, and all kenwood speakers (4 total for the cab of the car). He told me if I had any money left after I buy the new 3g with the insurance money that he would sell me the whole system for like $300 dollars (maybe a little less, but no lower then $275) Do you guys think this is a good deal. He is not including the cd player, but I already have one, so that is no big deal.

That doesn't sound like a bad price. If you enjoy the quality of the system it doesnt sound like a bad deal. Just make sure you or your friend can install the system, because if you have to pay someone to do it, that will cost a whole lot.

Scerew paying someone else to install it. We can hook you up with the info. $300 is a good deal if it is all in good shape. I am assuming you have heard the system.

Installing is easy. It takes time, trial and error, and patience, but it isn't hard. At least give it a shot.

Yeah, it is the system that is in my friend's teg. It is pretty mint, very strong. I don't know if Kicker is going to leave his amp cable all set up, and his cords for the subs but if he dosen't, that's no prob, I have done all this shit before. :) I set up my bro's datsun 510 with a mint system for his anniversary. The car has a badass system in it, but it dosen't even fuckin' run! lol :)

I've done a bit of stereo install. But I usually leave a lot of it to the pros. Shit gets confusing. That's for sure. But ya that's a good price.

Well, he has had the teg since he was 14, two years before he got his license, and he put the system into it like 6 months after he got it. So it has really only been used for 1 of those three years. I am still concidering though, I like my speakers, but I DO need some subs, and an amp....

if you don't want the speakers sell them and get some of that $300 back...worth it in my opinion

No more than $275. You don't know how hard he hit those speakers or whether he abused it alot. It may be on its' last leg. Consider that before buying, no warranty...

Well I will have some money left over from the insurance to play with, so I am planning on getting a system, and the rest of the body kit, then I will see how it bums, I think I am going to get it :D

Yea, definatly think about getting new subs... and 700 wattts is good, if you going to use them only on your inside speakers. I have 700 watts going to ONE 12" in my car. It hits preety good(enough to make car alarms go off) but i am not impressed. Thats why i am getting another sub and amp(same exact thing as what i have now). Also, infinities are usually really good speakers, my friend just put two 10" infinities in his truck. He paid 100 each, but they are louder than my sub. If ur going to go all out, get some ma audio subs. Thats my opinion
