do yourself a favor and forget about PVC pipe. just got to advance autoparts or autozone and pick up cheap 92 civic intake.
cut off 2-3 inches and you have nice looking intake.

PVC can melt pretty easy. I have seen a couple of burnt pvc intakes, its not pretty. And think of the fumes being sucked into the engine in the process.

you can use the stock intake tube from the airbox and filter to the fenderwell if you cut both end and ghetto rig it, plus its non thermally conductive
