Help!!!!!

Ok. When I start my 88 accord dx it high idles at anywhere from 3000 to 4500 rpms often bounceing back and forth between the two, and then when it's done high idling it just dies. I have no idea what the problem could be. Is there anyone that thinks they know what might be wrong???

wrong section. this should be in carb. section of the board.
edit: ok it is been moved.
Answer to your problem: well most likely you have vacuum leak somewhere. check the vacuum lines for any cracks. make sure they are rubber and not hard.
