Man. I had Autolites in there before. Bleh. They were shot. They were in there for who knows how long. But yeah, I changed them out and got NGK V-Powers. I've noticed that my startups are much much smoother and that when I hit the gas, my accelleration stays with me through the higher RPM's, unlike my old sparks did. It's quite nice. Are the wires really worth it? Will there be any difference?

if your wires are bad you will see the diff.

How can I tell if my wires are bad or not? The outside of the wires look fine, they are moveable and bendable, and no signs of cracking...

I would just replace them man. You don't know, so just do it. Get the nice ones that are above 40 bucks and you're in for a treat.

Resistance should be under 25,00 Ohms in the wires. Thats the shop manual talking there, to me thats an aweful lot or resistance though.
You don't have to spend 40 bucks to get decent wires, check options, they had Crane 11mm Wires (http://www.optauto.com/webstore/product_list.asp?dept=1656&pagenumber=3&last=) for 25 bucks plus shipping
Blazin found NGK wires at Classicgarage.com (http://www.classicgarage.com/hoacprigwise.html) for 13.96 a set.
I have the NGK wires on the hatch, made to OEM length and numbered, I like them alot more than the cranes I bought

well, thats what most hondas have is NGK R's. they are good for these engines i guess, i dont remember why that was. i know the bosch platinums i had went out quickly, now i have the NGK R's. but you have the V power ones. im not sure if they are different. i guess the V powers just have the V grove in the electrode. anyway, i would get some new wires. maybe a new cap and rotor to make it about complete. and yeah, they new wires will make a difference. maybe not a whole lot, but believe me, you will notice little changes that make it powerful in more areas. also, when i replaced my ignition parts, i notices increased power and better gas mileage. my cap, rotor, and wires were original from 1986 when the car was new.

I see. Then I'll go pick them up as well some time soon. And they'll be NGK if anything.
