My rear speaker grilles broke when I installed 6.5's. None of the holes matched up so I decided to drill my own. Well the hole piece shattered so right now I have them mounted directly to the rear deck in a half assed manner (doesn't really fit but it stays in place). well because of that the speakers sound like crap. I was thinking of buying some 3/4" mdf and building a new rear deck with holes cut for my speakers. I don't mind putting in the time but is it really worth it, or would I be better off goin to the junkyard and grabbing some replacement grilles? I am sick of my rear deck rattling from my subs.

or get 6x9 basket an make a plate for it.
they handle alot more than the 6.5's
