No motor no tranny, smelly interior but its mine. It was driven under a bridge that was flooding and the motor got locked up. So yea, my friend (nota3g) is pulling the drivetrain to rebuild and put in his g/f's 92 Civic CX hatchie. And I get the rest of the car.

whats dirt cheap? cheaper then 150 bucks?? :D Good thing motors for that car are easily aquired for fairly cheap. If you have some $$ to spend, check out Osaka JDM Motors (http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/)

A few hundred dollars. The car is in excelent condition, it spent most of its life in Florida. No rust unlike my Honda.
Here are a few pics from nota3g's camera phone.

Im not so sure about the B20Z at the current moment. I need to get a SCCA rulebook before buying anything. If I end up bumping myself up by more than one class I'll just go with a GSR motor.

Come sit around the old story fire.
One day NOTA3G had a 67 Dodge Dart. It was NOT a muscle car. Slant six, 4 wheel drum brakes. Well it was starting to rust and was a little dented and it barely ran. Well he wanted to get rid of it. We went to the Mopar nationals for 2 years and could not find a buyer. There is this ricer kid in a little yuppie ass suburb called Pickerington. The riceboy was driving this Integra down a country road. He went under an overpass. It was raining hard. He did not notice that the water covering the road was about 2 feet deep. He tried to keep going but the motor got waterlocked. It sat there for about 45 minutes before the tow truck got there. I talked to the guy who towed it and he said the water was just below the doorline. He towed it to a shop where it sat for a few weeks. The seats and the carpet were stripped out and dried off then reinstalled. Fortunatly the car had not been riced out yet. It had a couple stickers and thats it. It sat there a few more weeks untill the riceboy decided to trade NOTA3G for the Dart. So NOTA3G is pulling the motor/tranny to rebuild it and throw in a Civic. I get the rest of the car. I hope that made no sense.

P.S.
Hey Jim its there not their.

so whats the plans for this car?

k-roy

The plans are as follows.
1. Get an engine/tranny in it. I'll go with as many stock Honda parts as possible to cut costs to get it up. LSD is a must.
2. Suspension: Neuspeed race springs, koni shocks, upgraded sway bars, camber kit, front and rear upper and lower bars, lightweight rims and nice sticky rubber.
3. Work on some performance mods like header, exaughst, cams and head work
4. Roll cage, race seat, fire extinguisher, shave weight, kill switch, cut out the steering lock. All the safety requirements.
5. Brakes, the most important part of the car.
Basically I want to race it in the SCCA and maybe the Honda Challenge. I really want to go with a B20Z (CRV) non vtec motor. I am not sure if the 2 litre is allowed, I need rulebooks first. If not I will probably go with a newer B18B 1.8 LS engine. My goal is to have the car up and running by summer. Then work on all the racing parts over the winter so I can start racing in the 05 season. Oh yea, no boost an no N2O, I don't want a drag car I want a track car.

those mods (i believe) will put you in the modified/unlimited class and you'll get SMOKED by guys with a lot faster/expensive cars. I'd look up the rules before you do mods so see what class you'll be into for which mods. Then you can decide if you want to run SCCA or not. They're pretty strict on the modifications.......

that would be a lot of fun.

. LSD is a must.

DONT' DO DRUGS...

anyway i want to see that thing run scca...

LSD = Limited Slip Differential, ya damn druggie. J/K
The scca is pretty liberal when it comes to brakes and suspension. i have done some digging and I probably will have to go with a semi stock motor just so I don't get bumped up too much. I can go with a intake/exaughst and some light headwork (port, polish, and port matching) and still stay in the ITA class.

yeah...don't want to get into the unlimited class with those high hp cars?
