I would also like to see your ideas on CAI set ups. I'm thinking of using AEM 2.5 filter and a modified 2.5 exhaust pipe. Should I run it as a short ram or take it as far as I can along the original run of the stock intake.

I don't mind PMs, but to prevent 10,000 of the same question, the CAI is custom made for the car at an exhuast shop, not fitted from another car. :)

How much modification if any did you need to get that to fit past the battery, or is the battery just moved to the side?

the battery is just moved over a little bit. I could just turn the battery sideways but my wires aren't long enough :(

The filter on my original Civic shortram was rubbing on the proporting valve lines, so I decided to go with this. Simple and effective.

Bit offtopic, but here's my 86 with the 89 DX bumper. Wanted a solid black bumper and the cool 88-89 lenses. Gonna do some fiberglass and bondo work to it. Clean up some scratches and customize it a tad. :)

I know you sold that CAI, but how much did it cost for the exhaust system to build it for you? I want one made for it when I buy it, but I don't know what I am going to have to expect to get one made, is it just a matter of bending the pipe to fit right, or what?

That's a Ractive strut bar for 86-89 Accords. Unfortunately Ractive discontinued that bar. You MIGHT be able to find one at www.ppsonline.net . That's where I ordered mine and it cost me approximately 50 dollars shipped.

Thanks fellas... :) I love the look of it. Someday I'll make it all nice and purdy under the hood with blue stuff like that.

Unfortunately, I don't really hear the intake. I did the first couple of days...and OMG...so nice. Even my roommate noticed the sound, and he's both deft and doesn't pay attention to cars! But after a couple days, I couldn't hear it over my exhaust. So maybe when I get new exhaust, I'll hear the CAI again!

Alright guys here's what I got so far. As you can see I have the dual intake adapter for the Weber 32/36. And my 90-93 Integra intake Metallic Red

I have a 96-98 Civic cold air intake Metallic Red with another airbypass valve coming in the mail. That means I have my old intake setup for sale with my old weber carb adapter. I'm the only one to own the Weber intake. And I'm the only one to own the Weber dual intake.

http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/10/web/322000-322999/322549_77_full.jpg

And here are some engine mods I'm doing. I bought a Stainless Steel fuel line b/c my wasn't very good and was kinda cracking. And I bought a hose dress-up kit. I hope you guys like it.

You reomove the box and as for the extra hoses you can just leave them as is or route them into the intake.

ok just one more thing. please dont get mad at me guys. where the new intake tube goes there is a big hose id say 2-3 inches wide that hooks up from where the new intake tube should connect to the bottom part of the manifold.. i thinks its the manifold, so am i supposed to somehow route that big hose into the tube aswell? thanks guys and once again sorry

Justin yes it does. But it's winter here and I don't want the airbox to get full of snow so I flipped it around just for the winter. Believe me I will flip that thing as soon as nice weather gets here. I want to hear that thing with the airbox like it should be. And I'm not quite sure if that sucking hot air comment was directed towards me, but I will answer it as if it were towards me. For carbs hot air is a good thing. Too much cold air can freeze the carb. So now I have one semi warm intake source and one ram air induction source. (cold air)

Well, I managed to get a hold of some 90-93 Integ CAI pipes. The thing is I don't have clamps + rubber tubing with it. Anyone know where to get some? I'm curious on exactly what to cut. Similar to Bitesize's CAI I tried the pipe that connects to the TB to the bumper hole. It seems it is too short to go through the bumper hole. I managed to get the more straight pipe in but it seems to have a really bad angle behind the battery to connect to the other pipe. Did anyone do it like this? I'm guessing I need to hack off a piece. Oh yea, What size K&N filter did you guys use? The pipe is 2.5" and it doesnt seem to be too large of a hole in the bumper/fender area. If you have a part number that would be great.

edit: turns out I need either 2.25" or 2.5" silicone couplers. I'll keep a look out for these.

What do you guys think of that? Ever see that on a carb before?
Hey Mike, how do you like that ebay air-bypass you have on the pass. side of the intake? I was thinking of getting one for my gf's intake but I didn't know if the cheap ones worked right or not. Any probs with it at all? To the fuel injected crowd: which is the most recommended CAI to mod: 90-93 teg, 94-97 accord, 90-93 accord (I found this one for about $30 shipped so I am leaning towards it)? The FAQ says all of them but I figure there is a preference.

When I get my new Weber DGEV carb adapter I will be running the same ram air intake that I have now and then I will be running a CAI into my front bumper with a air bypass valve on that cai as well.
how did you do that i really want to get a short ram on my accord.

sure heres what the just the lid looks like, mostly just take a stock airbox and trace a filter then cut the extra off and install a K&N for best results, istill have this laying around in a box someplace
