I dont see the point in modding a taurus..ive seen them before and it got nothing out of me but a giggle and a point and laugh.

Do they even make anything for them? Or do you have to use all advanced auto parts universal parts on them?

They look like bubbles..

Nate.

No point in modding a Taurus? How about the SHO? A 1st gen stock SHO will blow away any of our 3geez out of the water, unless your 3geez has a sick motor swap or turbo and even then it would be really close. Supercharge an SHO and forget about it.

Of course I know you were not talking about the SHO, but they are not all bad.

doood even the brand new SHO's only have 220h/p v-8, and thats good for maybe high 14's...look at justins turbo accord runnin 22lbs, thats about 340h/p right there, and thats good for 11's, thats not a very 'close' race.

Well there are exceptions, 22lbs is sick. Wow. :super:

my buddy had a SHO for about 3 years, ran pretty good, but he did have some major problems start to happen with it. 2 weeks ago, he bought a brand new GMC pickup, and had to trade in the SHO, and he got $4000 for it. I would never buy one, even though they are fast cars, and they are ford.

Yea, it has 9 million horsepower, but sadly its still a taurus Se, the same car my mom drives. Anyone up for some grocery getting tonight? We can get to the store and back in record time, because it has 220hp STOCK...add an intake and we can set records for fastest grocery getting.

I do need some cucumbers....just to stick up the taurus owners asses tho.

Nate.

the 2nd gen SHO has 235hp from a 3.5L V8. and to the taurus' credit, its not like our accords arent grocery getters either.

discuss.

I've driven a 2nd gen SHO and I was really surprised at how nice the V8 sounded and how loud it was. Unfortunately the rest of the car didn't surprised me like the sound of the motor did. Lot's of sqeeks and rattles. And no low end power, especially for a V8, to small I guess.

ya, i was surprised how my buddy's SHO could keep up to my other buddy's '97 Talon. They were almost neck in neck on straight streches, except for then they hit corners, and the SHO was garbage around corners.

That's exactly what I thought. You can post whatever you like. One thing though is the build quality on 80's and early 90's Taurus/Sable are horrible. I've worked on a few for friend's and there's way too many rattles and things were breaking like crazy (not cheap either) even though the mileage is still between 80,000 to 120,000 miles. Hopefully, they improved the newer models. By the way, the new link doesn't seem to work either.
