Ok guys, let's try to get a small group of guys together for a nother meet. I think I've got the perfect venue. The Houston Auto Show (http://www.houstonautoshow.com/)

All the badass new models will be there including the Lancer Evo and the Ferarri Enzo! Lots of Concepts too like the Ford GT. It's from April 2-11 so maybe we could setup a Saturday to meet and see the show. I'll be going regardless but I'd like to meet up w/ some of the Texas 3Geez members for photo ops, etc.

Oh yeah, the accord isn't running still. I need to buy a roller (inside the axle/cvshaft boot) which noone seems to sale, and then finish troubleshooting the electrical or take it to a mechanic (last resort.)

Usually the contests around here are held in a big parking lot. I would rather see a drift race on a closed street course but that's just me. Here's another cool event for us to go to: Houston Raceway Park is going to start having a sport compact night starting in April but it's on Thursdays. It's $15 to run all night and $8 to watch. It's 4 and 6 cylinder cars only. $15 to run on the "Fastest quarter mile on Earth" sounds like a pretty good deal to me. It's gonna run from April until the winter so any of us Houston area guys could meet up any Thursday night.

Haven't checked back here in awhile, but glad to see you guys are still trying to get a meet together. Got my engine out and stripping it down to the block for some bottom end buildup, but should hopefully have it back together by then. Any of you had any bottom end work done before? Know (from experience) of a good machine shop in the Houston or near surrounding areas that work on Hondas? Let me know soon, 'cause I'm about ready for it. I'm looking at Scroggins in downtown Houston right now, but I've just picked him so far 'cause even though his prices are a bit high, he sounds like he knows what he's doing. Let me know, eh?

Sorry to switch directions in midstream but I would like to suggest the 10th (saturday) of April. My son's surgery was backed up and my middle son's birthday is the 2nd so I want to make sure I have a clean schedule and the 10th would work better for me. hey i went to westheimer today..man it has changed..i felt like crap when i came back...well not like crap but reallly really insignificant..
towards 12 am, i saw about 5 evos, 4 wrx, and a turbo 240..well all were turbo and after highway six, ther was a parkin lot with bout 100 cars..

Dude, if you get here early enough, I can have it done in a matter of hours. We could do it in th morning and roll out to the meet. Dude, $150 parts and labor is way too high for a friend to charge you, unless you have a sunroof (forgot to ask). For $60-70 (depending on material costs) I could hook you up and take you to the shop where I get the material and let you pick it out. I usually don't do visors b/c they look like crap when they're redone aftermarket and I don't like attatching my name to that kind of work. I'd either shave them or have me recover it in the same color headliner material. If they're vinyl, you can paint them with SEM to match. just a few options for ya!

I was origionally planning on doing the headliner in a light grey color,but do the visors in light grey vinyl....so when you do the headliner...we pull the ol vinyl off and get it down to the cardboard and then put the cloth on right? alright you two....We can meet up early at my grandparent's in Baytown. That way Wpro can take I-10 all the way and then OD, you can meet us there too and I'll install your valve cover. You should probably buy a new valve cover gasket and grommets for the new valve cover. That way no leaks. It should only take about 10 minutes. I'm fine with meeting up around 9 or 10 a.m. That way we can get the headliner done in a few hours and go to the races. Maybe even cruise the beach for a nightcap. We'd only be like 15 minutes away. Maybe a good opportunity for some pics.

Wpro, we can save a crapload of time and lay the cloth over the vinyl if it hasn't dropped. If so then we need to brush off the old headliner down to the cardboard. The 3rd gen is one of the easiest headliner I've ever done. If you guys are cool w/ that then we can meet up that way then just follow me to the races.

Either way is no problem. the great thing about the headliner inserts onthe 3rd gen is that it's this layered type cardboard. I can remover the headliner in one piece in practically no time. I think we might need to exchange numbers so we can coordinate our schedules. We could do it by PM for privacy.

I'm trying to clean up the appearance of the 2 hondas for the meet. I'm putting some mesh over the grill of the 4th gen and will probably have enough to do the 3rd gen as well.

The traffic going into Katy on saturday mornings is a bitch and a half. Just keep going past the Bass Pro Shop (Katy Mills Mall) and stay on I-10 past downtown. Keep going about 20 minutes past downtown and exit 789 (Townsend Blvd). The truckstop will be right there on the right. I'll try to post a map on here.
