where is the thermostat located on a 89 accord ex 2.0 carb?????? top or bottom hose and is my coolant gonna drain out when i change the thermostat..

Yes the coolant will drain... You're actually supposed to bleed the radiator some before you remove the hose...

The thermostat is connected to the top hose...

So the coolant will still drain even if the cars been off all night?How much should i blled it and will this stop it from draining my whole rad???i haven't got any coolant and don't wanna lose all my coolant and have no car to go get some.

Well you loosen the screw at the bottom of the radiator... You'll have to get under the car to see where it is... then slowly unscrew the drain plug untill coolant starts coming out and screw it back in after you drain the radiator about 1/3 of the way. The drain plug should only be hand tightend. Make sure you have a CLEAN PAN or something to catch the coolant so you can put it back in the radiator after you're done.

You don't have to drain it all the way but the more you drain the less you might end up losing when you disconnect the upper hose. Disconnect the upper hose by unbolting the 2 bolts that hold the pipe to the thermostat housing. You should see the thermostat once you pull the pipe off.

Oh yea the drain plug is plastic and in the center so its easy to find.

Oh... the radiator fluid drains faster with the radiator cap off... so you might want to keep it on if you think the fluid is draining too fast.
