you can buy a pipe adapter 1.75 to 2.25 ... you may want to have the shop take off the stock flanges and use them on the new 2 1/4" but they might be smaller then the pipe and cause restriction...

or

buy a 2.25 stainless flex pipe and clamp one side to the new exuaust... and the other side clamps to the adapter. You weld the adapter to the stock header downpipe.

Which headers are you getting? If you going Pacesetter definately get the flex pipe... since Pacesetter uses a ball joint I believe.

oh fuk me... never mind... You're only getting cat back... blah... forget everything I said. lol :bandit:

The exhaust shop will probably just weld the new 2 1/4" pipe right onto the flange that connects to the cat. you might want to have them loosen the bolts for you on both sides of the cat so you can get it off easier when it comes time to install the header.

yes, they will weld up a conversion...REMEMBER THIS! make sure they do not weld all your pipes into one unit...i.e. on mine, from the headers, they welded the cat on perminately (both sides) and everything is welded down to the mufflers....sure you can say its sealed, and all...but to pull my exuaust, I have to unbolt from the headers down, and drop the WHOLE exuaust. :gun:

uhm... can't you just bolt the damn thing on yourself... the pacesetter cat back system bolts right up to the stock cat converter.
