HAA HAA! I so want to do that to my Odyssey. The wife would kick my ass if she had to truck the kids around in a car that looked like that. I'd love to just get the headlights though, and maybe the wheels. You got a link w/ more pics?

it could be fake, it could be real... i've seen some cars that look fake when photoed... i, too would like to see it in person, but the next best thing would be to see it in a picture with reflections from nearby objects

Definitely something for the parents and the kids.
I showed it to my mother, she wanted one... I showed her the price, now she'll just think about it (US$1900).

Mugen is great.

You do realize that is an entirely different minivan that the USDM Odyssey. Its only sold in Japan and uses a K24 engine. The USDM Odyssey is called the LaGreat over there. This minivan is much sportier than the USDM Odyssey and is really almost a station wagon. I think when Honda came out with the 1st gen Odyssey it was the same here and in Japan. However they realized that Americans wanted a bigger van with sliding door and more power so they discontinued the 4dr smaller van idea and introduced the more traditional second gen Odyssey. The real sucessor to the first Odyssey only appeared in Japan where it reatined its smaller sedan-like 4dr character instead of a traditional bigger V6 powered van like the current Odyssey. What this is is the third generation of the original Odyssey. Honda has incorparated alot more sportiness in this and I believe in the second gen too than the original Odyssey. So one coudl say that the current USDM Odyssey falsely carries the Odyssey badge because its chassis is more of a light truck designation (it was used as a base for the pilot and MDX I think, the MDX might have been first) wheras the first gen Odyssey was car based on the Accord. It was really a branching off from the original Odyssey concept. It should have the LaGreat badge. I think this new one is based on the 7th gen Accord as well. It does carry the same engine.

Here's the second gen based on the 6th gen Accord I believe. F23a engine. This is the true second gen Odyssey. 4WD too http://www.batfa.com/photo-nj-odyssey2001,gray,front.htm

dood. for the longest time ive wanted to take one of those V6 oddessy's and put the comptech super charger made for honda v6's...nitrros...headers, interals blah blah blah total engine works. then just lower it and upgrade the suspension, wheels and breaks to handle the power. and not even tint the windows.

now that my friends is a sleeper.

Even with different body styles... a mini van is not a sport car

I used to work at a Honda dealer as a detailer and Drove a 03 and they are fast as crap! It was a shock of a lifetime...well now that I think of it it isn't because it is a Honda and they just keep getting better every year. I looked at one and it said it was 240 horses on it.... <~~Creams

its because they use the 3.5L if im not mistaken like the MDX, Pilot and the RL. i am not sure if its the same block with an overbore or just a whole different block by itself.

I didn't do any research, just found that link on the Japanese Mugen site while I was browsing their catalog. Good looking out with the JDM Odyssey info though :).
