i would check the local laws, plus if you take to a shop they will tint it to correct tint level allowed by government.

Go with whats legal. If you go too low you can get a ticket, or even worse impounded. It it really worth all the trouble to look cool?

The dude said he would do any % i want, and for $139. 35% in the front and 25% in the back is legal.......so I was thinking doing 30% in the front and 20% or 25% in the back

As mentioned in the ticket thread, I've been pulled over 18 times and they've NEVER said a thing about my tint. I have 22% all around, with legal at 35%. I can't imagine they're really picky about that in Idaho...

I went 30% and it looks legal even though no tint is legal in my state (for my year car) other than rear windows.

Tint Laws (http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/State%20Law%20Chart.htm)
Pa is 70% all around the car. Not legal at all on the windshield.
The lower the % the darker.
Thats pretty lame, at least it would cut the UV rays and glare.

I would go 20% all around either the black limo version or my personal fav smoke

In NC they use a light meter when you get your car inspected. I had 5% on all windows on my '97 Ranger and it wouldn't pass inspection until I peeled it all off. I was really pissed too. The guy showed me the light meter reading...it was showing an 8% on the meter and it needed to be at 35%. They are pretty uptight about window tint here because a cop got shot back in the 80's. I am still going to go darker then 35% and I will just have to find a place that won't use a light meter and that excpets "generous cash donations"....

Where would we be without our "generous cash donations"?

The darker the better, smoke tint is perfect.:D
