Octane Boost

Has anyone ever experimented with octane boost? What kind of results did you get if you did?

It's just like buying higher octane gas. It definetly does what it's supposed to.

Most products sold as "Octane Boosters" do not really boost octane. If it says the primary ingredients are methanol, petroleum distillate, or naptha it will not boost octane. I know the old 104+ Octane Boost was a true octane booster, but there may be more of them on the market now.

Running higher than required octane really won't help you and can actually hurt long term. If you need higher octane to avoid engine knocking, etc. just go for the next grade of gas. True octane booster additives are not cheap so you will actually spend less buying a higher grade of gas.
