Rebuilt A18A with approx 36k miles, had to replace it due to a thrown rod while doing 85... WTF!! $1000 parts and labor.

this is the only body damage on the car, it was there when i bought it.

um buddy.....i'l be the first to say i think thats an a20a1 motor....... i have never heard of an a18 block......but i could be wrong...i dont know everythang' (yet)

my86dx4dr - a18's came in the preludes, but i dont think they fit into the 3g.

Yeah if you're unsure what the motor is there's a like a 2" square next to the timing hole that says the motor type. It might be kinda dirty but some brake cleaner and a wire brush can fix that. And I like your car it looks really clean. And welcome to the board.

Is that more or less hp for the A18? more revs? I'd rather just have plain steelies, those hubcaps look so cheap. Kind of odd you got that for a swap, you're probably the only one on the board who has that swap. :D Too bad its auto, consider changing that. And FLIP THAT LID :tongue:

And yeah, do us all a favor and take a look at that engine code to let us all know if it's really an A18, or the A20.

hey Ravinix, see if you can find the engine code stamp, it should say A18A if thats the motors. should be on a ledge thingy on the front of the engine. anyway, yeah, that was a real motor. if its the jdm one from an accord. they had them in the accord and vigor model from '85-'88(jdm)
