What are the two thermo valves A and B on the intake manifold do? I know there is one on the upper part and the the one is like right below it. Well the one on the bottom of my intake manifold is broken so i just plugged it. Is this reason why my car revs high all the time?

I will look up what this does in my service manual and post it.

The thermo valve A operates the fast idle unloader. It kicks down the fast idle once the engine coolant warms up. This sounds like it is the problem if you found one broken. It controls vacuum to the fast idle kick down mechanism. If you replace it and you still have a fast idle check for vacuum leaks in the hose connected to the thermo valve that is broken. The hose should lead back to the fast ilde kick down.
