I never even thought about aht :D. That look even better then nights shade, but I bet they are cop magnets :P. I thinking of doing that to my car now :D. Hmm, any downsides other then legal issues with those things? Cause they look really good :D.

If VHT Nightshade is perfectly legal, that should be too, right? or is it not as translucent?

Does anyone with Nightshade or black tinted tails have a night picture (with the lights on, duh)?

-i've had them for over 2 years and never got any problem from the cops, EXept once a cop asked me about them when i was pumping gas, but the reason he came over was becasue of my trunk was knockin.
- the tint is from wal-mart the static cling kind, look at the box in the pic.

i like it beter than the VHT becasue the VHT looks kinda dull, mine have a nice gloss to them

I still wanna see what thye look like at night, with the lights on :D. I have only ever seen a civic with night shade (my sister's bf) and not with the lights on, so I dont even have the slightest idea what it would like on out cars with limo tint. Do we even require a how to n this? It just seems like a series of heating and stratching around the corners, not big deal there, looks damn sexy :D.

Hey jigga i bought some window tint today and was wondering how did you do yours? The instructions say use soapy water to apply and i see that have a heater. does it really matter? How long will it last since the tint is on the outside and not on the inside anyway?

hey man i'm workin in school so i was away for a few.
but no indeed the windows wont blow, i slam on them 15's so hard man it isnt funny. Your vision shakes a little bit, but the windows aint bout to break.

solja: nah that soapy water is just for applying it on actual windows. the way you make it stick to your tail lights is to get some silicon adhesive, and wrap it around the edges pretty tight, and make it stay there while it dries.
The way you can make it stay put is using some kinds of clamps, or poking holes in the excess film and sticking it to the bolts of the tail lights so it holds it tight, then cut it off later.

do they sell the tints an an amber red. how about the reverse lights. have you had any legal problems with those?

NXRacer
03-19-2004, 02:04 PM
my friend did that to the top half of her civic tails and you can BARELY see the turn signal. Even at night. She might have gone darker then that, but beware.

It would be nice if Jigga could hook us up with a how to on them lights  Would a blow dryer work in the place of that heater?

jigga225

aiight here's basicaly how to do it...

you need:
>>the removeable tint from wal mart i used the 20%
>> some silicone glue
>> warm weather (or a heater to have it kinda warm so the stuff will stretch)
some kind of clamps

1- take your tail lights off
2- cut enouch of the film so you can cover each piect and then some
3- put some silicon glue around the outer edges of the tails
4- wrap the film around, so ther's no wrinkles in it.
5- if you cut enough extra film, you can use the bolts on the back of the tail light to pierce the extra film and hold it into place while the silicon dries
***example: look at top left bolt in my first pic**
5b - if not, use the clamps to hold it down, but make sure there are no wrinkles

and um basically, thats it, hit me back if u guys need anything else
