The Chilton says that if I change the distributor then will have set the timing. I just wanted know if it is required? And also this came up on a search for a perfomance ignition coil using my car specs...so that means this will fit?

The wires will need to be spliced together (black with black and blue with blue).... I have a soldering iron if you want to make a good connection.
Black w/ yellow stripe are Positive
Blue wires are Negative
