Yes, FINALLY I've got my new rims on! I've only had them since last april, LOL. Anyways, got new tires online and they arrived on friday, and I mounted and and balanced them on the wheels today (*note.... mounting low profile tires SUCKS!! It took 3 people, each with a prybar, to hold down the opposite side of the tire so it could slip on). I'm very happy with them though and (I think) they look very good! Only bad thing is it gave me an even more painful reminder of just how much I need to looooowwweeeerrrr, hahah. I guess you could say it looks a bit SUV-ish now, so guaynabo89 has been relieved of his duties, LOL. I also painted all the calipers and brackets silver, so they don't look quite as bad....

HA...very funny!! LOL :stick: Nah, I know it's up there.... definitely needs a drop. But unfortunately as we all know, dollars don't grow on trees :( I was kinda hoping that after 332,000 miles the stock springs would have sagged a bit so it wouldn't be quite as high.... guess not! hahahah

Thanks for the compliments though ;)

yha man that silver on the rims is hittin hard with the black.
Good job man. Now heres what you do............
1- Leave it high for about 3 weeks so you gotta put up with the 4x4 look
2- Buy your stuff (springs, struts, camber, all dat stuff)
3- Slam it! **
3*- Ride with black steelies for 1 week while freshly slammed
4- THrow them choppas back on and man its gonna feel so goooood

no money? Need to be lowered? EASY. CHOP DEM BEATCHES...... :-D It will look 100% better with even the slightest drop.

What size tires are you running? 35's? Those are pretty damn small man. Its gonna ride ROUGH. With that size tires, coilovers arent even an option unless you get some kickass struts to go with em.

lookin hella nice though maing.

Lower it!!! I like the tires you got, which i have as well, but to everone, if you have the money to spend on higher price tires, do it. IMO, they are just too fragile compare to Yokohamas. But everything else like wet traction and wear are very good!

Thanks for all the positive comments!! And don't worry, it will get lowered..... soon! To whoever asked, the tires are 40 series, and suprisingly they really don't ride that bad. Of course they're not as soft and cushy as my stock 195/60-14's were, but I didn't expect them to be. Steering does seem to be a bit more responsive, and even a little jumpy at times, but nothing major at all. Overall, still very satisfied :)

oh yeah, welcome to the world of driving 205s. wait till you get into some nice corners, then you will see they are way better than stock, at least i think so. i had to put my stock 185s back on this summer for a day and i noticed a HUGE difference.

nice job. if you don't mind spilling the beans...how much? I liked it so much I went to discounted wheel warehouse and they have a set of 4 with 4 Kumho 712 205/40/17 and 4 locking lugnuts for 884 bucks. Is that in the range you paid out? better deal elsewhere?

Thanks!! Lowering is definitely on my to-do list, right after welding on my new rear quarter panels to fix the rust holes. But yea, black 3g's are the BEST!! After I get done with all my bodywork, she needs a fresh coat of paint.... original paint is starting to show it's age :(

Thanks again! I bought the rims and tires seperate from each other.... got the rims off ebay through one of www.whalentire.com auctions (came from the same place as if you got them off the website, just a lil cheaper), for $95 each + $26 for tuner lugs + $45 shipping. The tires I got from www.tirerack.com for $63 each + $41 shipping

Sooo.... 95*4(=380) + 26 + 45 + 63*4(=252) + 41 = $744 total

Jared,
Did you happen to weigh one of those rims while waiting to get the tires, if so what did you get on weight?
