Has anyone put these particular gauges into their car? if so how do they look at night, can you still see how fast your going? and how easy are they to put in? I dont want to go to all of the work of putting htem in, and then not be able to see the guages at night....

i don't have them, but i have seen them. they look good at night if you use the right paper to print on.

HostileJava - did you juut put in some extra led's or what, also were your stock guages the Nippon Seiki or the Denso?

The gauges are printed on photo stock however I would suggest printing them on vinyl and sticking them right over top of ur old gauges. I believe the gauges were Nippon, I remember seeing somthing about starting with an N. I pulled out the stock lights and installed a scanning LED bar.

so having the lights behind wont work or did you just use the blue scanning bar for a cool effect? I was thinking that i would jsut replace the lights in their now with blue bulbs.

The stock lights work to light up the gauge, but I put the blue scanninglight in there to make it look nicer.

Im thinking, if I can find the right bulbs I want to do blacklights. Is do them the way you got the blue scanner light.

It's pretty easy to do, If you can find a small bulb and holder that runs on 12v's you should be able to hook it up to where once of the stock bulbs came out. Would require some glueing or screwing and some soldiering to do it right.

Edit:

Somthing like this would work:

i used those for my 88, the guages needed to be resized a little for me. Its kinda time consuming, took me about 4 hours to get it perfect, but if anyone needs help with this project you can contact me. And oh, i used a blue neon 6" bulb from advance auto (one that is powered from the cig lighter), i put it inside the guage case where the top white bulbs hook in, and removed the blue looking plastic piece, but beware its hella bright at night.

here is a pic of them, not a good one though

Has anyone ever put custom gagues with neon paint thats uv sensitive, and then put a mini black light for their light? Cause im thinking about doing this with my car. If you dont know what effect im talkin about, it like that special light that makes white turn blue and makes neon colors glow like crazy, and also glowin the dark stickers or stars or whatever glow.
